Changing file extension can be more meaningful than you think

When dealing with a variety of image formats you will notice that there may be several file extensions meaning the same type of image. For example, TIFF and TIF, or JPEG and JPG mean exactly the same thing. It’s a matter of an individual preference which file extension to use. Specific file extensions are set in the software by default, but you can change them if you wish. When you start the conversion process choose "operations with target file name" menu and change the file type for the extension you prefer. Part of the name of the converted image will then contain its file type looking exactly as you wish.
